Kelsey Nicole Nelson (KNN) is a multi award-winning journalist, communications specialist, professor and renowned speaker.
Kelsey is a former national pageant titleholder who today gives back to community mentoring young people helping them to reach and achieve their goals in a complex society. Today Kelsey works as a broadcaster, analyst, host and reporter who has worked with SB Nation, NASCAR, ESPN Radio, MASN, FOX Sports Radio, Bally Sports, the Big East Digital Network, NBC Sports/Peacock and lots more! Kelsey has been featured in numerous outlets around the globe highlighting her work in sports, media, the community and education. Kelsey has also received many accolades for her working including presidential and congressional recognition. Kelsey is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland - College Park and Georgetown University.

Kelsey has been recognized as the "DMV Sports Media Person of the Year" and the "DC Sports Media Person of the Year." For her work in sports media she's also been named to the WKYS "Top 30 Under 30" class and the Terrapin Club 30 Under 30. Kelsey has received executive citations in the state of Maryland, she's received congressional recognition in Texas and has been recognized for her broadcast work, academic achievements and for her community work in an international capacity.
For over a decade, Kelsey has appeared on radio shows across the country and hosts her own radio show, "Listen In With KNN."

Today, Kelsey is a lecturer at The George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs where she currently teaches "Introduction to News Writing and Reporting." In the Fall semester, Kelsey will teach the first ever "Introduction to Sports Writing and Reporting" course at GWU. Kelsey was also a previous instructor at Doral College where she taught "Intro to Radio and Podcasting (MMC 2122 Radio)" and helping to manage the students work on Slam! Radio on Sirius XM Ch. 145.
The KNN Foundation is dedicated to providing educational freedom, financial empowerment, and investing in communities through platform, purpose and passion. The KNN Foundation aims to strengthen communities, by helping to provide a pipeline of resources into marginalized communities strengthening them at the core.
Kelsey continues to be a pillar in the community helping to educate the next generation of young broadcasters. In addition to mentoring students at the Columbia Heights Education Campus, Kelsey serves on the board of Tickets for Kids, helping to provide free sporting and music event rickets to kids. She also serves as an ambassador for the National Association of Black Journalists Sports Task Force.
Books Breaking Borders: Books To End Educational Bankruptcy is a community action project designed to donate books and educational resources to underprivileged children in the DMV. This is a project Kelsey founded as Rawlings Undergraduate Leadership Fellow at the University of Maryland. It is a project that she is currently leading donating books, kindles and other electronic devices to children and families impacted by the digital divide widened by the COVID-19 pandemic. To date the group has donated books and school supplies to over thousands of children in the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area.
Kelsey is an official ambassador for Brow-ish Brow Art Clinic.
Kelsey is the Founder, President and CEO of the media and communications consulting company KryptiaNN LLC.
